Private tour for the exhibition Anne Morgan’s War: American women rebuilding France 1917-1924

The Alliance Francaise of Atlanta invites you to a private visit with an exhibition specialist of the “Anne Morgan’s War”. This exhibition of photographs and rare silent film footage presents the work undertaken by 350 American women – all volunteers – who left their life in the United States to devote themselves to humanitarian aid in France. The event will take place at the McElreath Hall 130 West Paces Ferry Rd Atlanta, GA 30305

Teacher Workshop: Teaching French with the media

The Alliance Francaise in Atlanta will host a training that will take place in two stages. First, teachers will explore educational paths to help students build critical thinking skills to help them identify images they receive. In the second phase, It will be proposed that all trainees make their own videos and discover the techniques of shooting, sounds, editing, and realization as well as tools enabling the realization within the framework of the class. - Sake & Wine Mixer

The Japan America Society of Georgia and the French American Chamber of Commerce – Atlanta will mix two beautiful cultures during a “Sake & Wine Mixer”. Guests will enjoy sake, wine, Japanese beer, French food, and Japanese fusion. French Consul General Louis de Corail will be present. The event will take place at Indigo Hotel Vinings at 2857 Paces Ferry Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30339 and is $20 for members and $40 for non-members.

Annual French Immersion Day

The Alliance Francaise of Nashville invites members and non-members to the annual French Immersion Day in Nashville. Guests will begin the day with croissants and coffee, and later guests can have a conversation in French, attend workshops, play games, watch cultural presentations and have lunch provided by Et Voila. The event will take place at Coronada Clubhouse 250 Chimney Hill Nashville, TN 37221. Admission is $30 in advance for members and $45 for non-members and members who do not RSVP. Guests should be prepared to speak French throughout the day.

Conference : The Centennial of the First World War in Birmingham

The Alliance Francaise of Birmingham, University of Montevallo, and the UAB Jemison Visitiing Professorship in the Humanities are sponsoring a lecture discussing African American soldiers during WW1 by leading French historian Pap Ndiaye.
