A word of welcome from the Consul General - septembre 2016 [fr]
Dear French and American friends,
Newly arrived from France, I’d like to express my warm greetings in the editorial until I am able to meet you, hopefully in the near future. Please know that I and the team at the French Consulate, who you know, are entirely at the service of the French-American relationship that is so unique.
There are already several opportunities for us to meet in the next few weeks—I can cite the “French Flick & Picnic” on September 30 at the Millennium Gate Museum in Atlanta, an evening which I invite you to attend with your friends and family in order to enjoy a fun moment around the film “The Artist” and a delicious French picnic provide by Café Vendôme. I will also have the occasion to participate in a business trip to Greenville and Charleston, SC organized by the French American Chambers of Commerce—Southeast and Carolina chapters on September 13 and 14, where I will be able to exchange with some of you on the economic and commercial ties between our States, ties which should be, of course, strengthened and developed further.
Next month, I’ll share more about the 7th edition of France-Atlanta, but already mark your calendars: October 12-21, for a very rich program of cultural, scientific, humanitarian, and economic events, in presence, most notably, of Plantu and Cartooning for Peace, as well as numerous researchers and artists from both sides of the Atlantic.
See you next month !
Louis de Corail
Consul général de France
