Editorial: March 2016 [fr]
Dear French and American friends,
The month of March will be quite busy, and I wish to draw your attention to three events in particular.
First, the Ambassador of France to the United States will make his first trip to North Carolina. His Excellency Gérard Araud will visit Charlotte on March 21-22 where he will meet with political leaders, French and American business leaders during an event organized by the French-American Chamber of Commerce of the Carolinas , and the local press.
Then, at the initiative of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, the operation Goût de France/Good France will take place around the world on March 21 for the second consecutive year. 1,500 restaurants have been selected to participate by a jury of professionals led by Chef Alain Ducasse in order to promote French cuisine. Among them, three restaurants in the Southeast will participate : the Intercontinental Buckhead (Atlanta, GA), Anjou Restaurant (Ridgeland,MS) and 3 Table Restaurant and Market ( Nashville, TN). The chefs of these restaurants will propose on this occasion a special, original menu that you can enjoy by reserving a table on March 21.
Finally, the 17th Annual Francophonie Festival of Atalnta will take place this year from March 12-22, 2016. A diverse program of film, theater, art, conferences, and receptions conceived by the organizing committee highlights the diversity and the richness of contemporary French-speaking cultures.
See you next month.
Consul général de France
