The French Cultural Service in Atlanta promotes and supports new or emerging artistic form in visual arts, architecture and design, as well as new artists and curators.

Its programs are mainly focusing on the promotion of contemporary creations:

- It offers a variety of cultural or educational grants and residencies to artists for research.
- It offers advice, support and networking opportunities to French artists and professionals for exhibitions, conferences, art fairs, symposium etc.
- It organizes professional visits to France for curators, directors of art centers, university galleries etc.

Programs promoted by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States:

- ÉTANT DONNÉS: The French-American Fund for Contemporary Art
Established in cooperation with the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs, the Cultural Services, and FACE (French American Cultural Exchange), the fund is dedicated to nurturing and supporting outstanding programming of contemporary artists from France and the United States. It facilitates the discovery of emerging talent and firmly believes in the need to sustain interest in established artists whose work inspires younger generations. Furthermore, Etant donnés is instrumental in creating a network of curators from both countries who work together and exchange ideas. Over the past ten years, the fund distributed more than 2 million dollars for 190 projects.
Application deadline: March 31 every year.

- ÉTANT DONNÉS: The French-American Fund for Contemporary Art offers Curatorial Research Grants
Thanks to the financial support of BNP Paribas, the fund supports the professional development of American curators by offering them extended stays of up to three months in France for research projects in the field of contemporary art.
Application deadline: March 31 every year.

- INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PROGRAM FOR ART SCHOOLS
